Chief Officer as Master, Second Officer, Purser, W/T.

Captain and crew left ship. The Chief Officer stayed as Captain and five greasers and W/T. Operator remained otherwise a new crew was put on board.

Refused to sail from Folkestone. New crew put t
on board. Engineers remained. She made a trip and returned to Dover. The original Captain returned and some of the crew.
She should have sailed on Monday night but would not go. The Captain reported three engineers short at the last minute. Considered quite unnecessary to wait for three engineers. Master and crew sent ashore at Folkestone.
The Master was allowed to return to the ship at Dover next day.

2/3rd. June s/s"Ben-my-Chree. On the afternoon of the 2nd.
at the Guard had to force the crew back on board at the point of the bayonet in order to keep them on board until the relief crew arrived.
2nd. June S/S"Tynwald" and S/S"Malines"
S/S"Tynwald" subsequently sailed in accordance with instructions. S/S"Malines" proceeded to Southampton, without orders.
