Commodore R.N. Barracks, Chatham(No.0017 of 25th June to Military Branch) states that crews for Dutch coasters RION
and JAVA (ex TINY) were sent to Portsmouth in accordance with telephoned instructions received from C.in C. Nore.
Chatham's 1335/27 May states:-

C.in C. Port mouth has been received, dated 25th May, 1940, addressed to Lt.Cdr.J.M.D. Hunter, R.N., but it has not yet been confirmed that JAVA did commission at Portsmouth on 25th May.
