By Sir William Milbourne James, Knight Commander of the
Most Honourable Order of the Bath, Admiral in His
Majesty's Flest and Commander in Chief of His Majesty's ships and vessels employed and to be employed within the Portsmouth Naval Command.
No. 8820/55.
MEMORANDUM.
The Lords Commissioners of the Admiralty having decided that His
Majesty's Ship PASCHOLL
is to be commissioned on Saturdaythe
25th May, 1940
or as soon afterwards as circumstances permit, withoux as a tender to H.M.S. VICTORY, you are to proceed to commission that vessel, and to cause the utmost despatch to be used, so far as the same may depend upon you, in preparing for sea accordingly.
Given under my hand at Portsmouth, this
