6. At about 0840, Saturday, as the last men were being embarked, a very severe air-raid developed, and all vessels moved off. "BOUNTY", having her port propeller foul, was taken in tow by motor-yacht "SERIOLA VI" and proceeded to Ramsgate. Both vessels were machine-gunned on the way back.
7. The conduct and behavious of all Officers and men, who came under my observation, was in accordance with
Service tradition. At times they were subject to heavy air-raids. The highest standard was set by the
Commanding Officers, Officers and men of the destroyers, sloops and minesweepers working off La Fanne.
