With reference to operation Dynamo, I should like to draw your attention to the following members of the
Ship's Company:-
Sub. Lieutenant K.M.Cutler, R.N.R. who under difficult circumstances and with unreliable compasses, performed the navigation throughout with success. I should like to recommend this. Officer for advancement to the rank of Lieutenant.
Sub. Lieutenant A.Davidson R.N.R. who under fire took away the motor launch in order to rescue a British
Airman in Dunkirk Roads.
Temp. Sub. Lieut. (E) H.Henshaw R.N.R. who throughout the operation remained in the Engineroom in order to maintain and even exceed the designed speed of the Ship.
The remainder of the Ship's Company were in excellent spirits throughout, remaining at their posts

Dunkirk was reached at 1130/28; since no berth was immediately available, the vessel was anchored. The pier was closed at 1240, Lormont making fast at 1251; makeshift brows immediately were rigged, and at 1300 troops began to embark.
