The administration, storing, etc., of the

vessels referred to was carried out by a special staff

which appointed for the operation. It was understood at the time that Lieutenant Commander Braddy11-Johnson,R.N.,

was assisted by two Sub-Lieutenants, R.N.V.R. in keeping to a complete list of store transactions regarding the boats prepared for service in the Submarine Basin,
H.M. Dockyard, Dover. This was carried out apart from the King's Harbour Master's Department, who were not provided with any list of stores. Presumably a list was forwarded direct to the Director of Sea Transport through Captain Hallifax, R.N.
The only gear handled by the Dockyard Departments connected with this operation was some boat's
IN CHARGE, gear belonging to the "Jane Hannah", Owner - Mr. Bernard
Chase, and this was recently removed from the Dockyard by the Owner's Agents; and some other boat's gear belonging to "Ocean Spray" which was returned by H.M.S.
"Clarkia" and which was replaced in "Ocean Spray" before the latter boat left for Eastbourne on the 14th July,
1940.
