A note about image and OCR quality

"NEPHRITE" will be handed over in due course. As you are aware, this steamer is still running under Government requisition, and it may therefore be a few days before we can pass on your communication. With regard to the second paragraph of your letter, the S.S. "NEPHRITE" was the only one of our vessels that actively assisted in the evacuation from Dunkirk, but in addition, our S.S. "PETWORTH" was diverted from her regular trade and we understand, in accordance with orders, stood by at Dover in case she was required.
