The Salvage Officer Lx Robinson arrived on about 10.30. am with the route for Dunhirk, to assist the WM.S. Bideford, also the tug Foremost 84 was to follow, vito instruct the salvage crafs Forde also to follow us. We left Dover as 11. am passing through the Western Entrance,. outside untill the Foremost appeared. The Salvage officer told the Master to follow us We then proceeded on course about am. the weather at this time being hogey, visibility about one mile. We proceeded through Dnons but failed to see the Forde r continued on our course. When nearing V. Buay the weather became a dense fog. that we last sight of the tug Foremost. so we reduced speed, sounding the tugs whistle untill the Foremost was close to us. The for lifted became pateby 2 we proceeded on at full speed on course for W. buay. We then set course to Mo 5v6 buay Dunhirh Roads. Whilst on this course several German planes were over head the machinegun was fired by Dr. Robinson. Buay about 12.15 monday 3ʳᵈ cruised about hoping to see the Raris. about 15. am we sighted a craft that appeared to be stopped and n approaching we made it out to be the Raris about mile eastward of #W. Buay. We steamed round close to her r hailed several times orgetting no reply considered Raris had been abandoned. The vessel had a very heavy list to Starboard r was senting down fest I went around the starboard xr side found the number on the butwarks just level with the water r by the time I passed around the vessels portsider bach to the starboard side she had jone over another foot I then decided to remain mile see the last of the Paris.
