MINUTE SHEET. Reference DUNKIRK COMMITTEE. MEETING HELD AT 4 p.m. ON THURSDAY 26th SEPTEMBER, 1940 AT THE MINISTRY OF SHIPPING, ROOM 8021 A. PRESENT:- Mr. Allen (Chairman) " Simmons " Meredith " Stokes " Wand 1. Minutes of Meeting held on 4th September were agreed. 2. Matters arising were discussed; (a) "Renown" Agreed as a first step to ask owner to complete form T.619. Later, if necessary, to refer to PCO (S.T.) for nomination of a valuer. OK. (b) "Westerley" Agreed to maintain offer of £500, plus any out of pocket expenses incurred by owner. (c) "Papillon" Agreed to accept liability for total loss and to proceed accordingly. Riddell (d) "Scene Agreed to prepare case for Tribunal under powers Shifter" of compensation (Defence) Act. 1939. (e) "Brywyn" Agreed to inform the owner that in view of the absence of evidence in support of his loss or of the value of articles said to be lost, he is offered £40 in settlement of his claim for missing articles. 3. Report of payments for period ending 25th September, amounting to £3003,12...6. was presented and passed. 4. The following cases were discussed:- (a) TOTAL LOSS OK "Golden Spray" Agreed to offer £265 in full settlement of all claims, and, on acceptance, to have letter of Abandonment drawn up in the name of "Golden Spray" ex "Bonnie Boy 11" "Vanitee" Agreed to call for evidence of purchase price (700) and later to negotiate settlement up to a maximum of £700.
