to be hit, afterwards sinking;

room. The tow had scattered and
returned to port independently -

taken in tow, and then slipped at
their request.

strop right round the boat.

Off Dunkirk beaches. Pumps choked,

bilge full of rubbish, making water
fast.
The boat drifted on to the beach and
was abandoned.
It fulfilled some useful purpose
however, by being used as a pier.

[s/Lt. Lawrie transferred to a large diesel-
engined barge and left in her, full of troops,
for Ramsgate about 2400/31. on 2nd June, he
was given command of the M/B Wings of the
Morning. ]

return to Ramsgate.
