A note about image and OCR quality

War Department Fleet: Launches HAIG, KESTREL and SWALLOW. (Colonel G. E. Sadcock, Commanding Officer). Recommendations. Nine craft of the W.D. Fleet took part. All did well but the following civilian personnel volunteered for, and executed, additional trips displaying exceptional determination: R. Walter, 1st Engineman in HAIG. J. H. Spain, T/3/Engineer in KESTREL. H. Hay, Able Seaman in SWALLOW. F. Cherry, Able Seaman, 3rd Engineer in SWALLOW. Recommended for mention.
