A note about image and OCR quality

Tug JAVA: This tug was employed off the beaches. Recommendation. Harry Griffith, Merchant Seaman. As member of the crew landed on the beach in a small dinghy and ferried troops backwards and forwards continuously for 8 hours during heavy bombing attacks. Recommended for decoration.
