A note about image and OCR quality

Recommendations. OFFICER. Lieutenant William McKee, R.N.R. Worked unceasingly with great vigour and cheerfulness and was an inspiration to the ship's company. Recommended for mention. RATINGS. C.E.R.A. George Bertram Head, P/M. 34498. Displayed unflinching determination and devotion to duty during the long hours in the Engine Room in very trying conditions. Set a magnificent example to the Engine Room branch of the ship. Recommended for decoration. Petty Officer John Collins, P/J.90457. Petty Officer Collins, by his cool and steady bearing, inspired the guns' crews during the air attacks. Recommended for decoration. H.M.S. LYDD - Lieutenant Commander Rodolph Cecil Drummond Haig, R.N. This ship did four trips to Dunkirk. The ship was repeatedly bombed and machine gunned.
