Operation "DYNAMO" - Recommendations of Personnel.
Motor Boat FERVENT Commander (H.M.S. FERVENT, Ramsgate). - Lieutenant-
William Ronald Thomas Clements, R.N.R. (Retd)
attacks. for gallant work on 31st May during intense noticed
The cool performance and of this boat was especially instructions The civilian coxswain, faithfully obeyed all air given him by officers.
Recommendation.
Coxswain Douglas Kirkaldie. (of 4, Kent Place,
Ramsgate).
Recommended for mention.
Motor Vessel LAROC - Mr. George B. Butler. Master.
This civilian manned motor boat, normally is employed as a Boarding Vessel, Western Examination Service,
Portsmouth. Master and crew volunteered for service to
Dunkirk and for three days did excellent work off the coast, not only with the yacht itself but by directing the activities of many open boats and giving assistance to vessels in distress. Was present during the worst two days of air raids.
Recommendations.
Master, Mr. George B. Butler.
Handled his vessel with conspicuous judgment.
Recommended for mention.
