Service Cross to Captain Ernest Leonard Hill, and a Mention in Despatches to Mr. Reginald Frank Pembry. The mistake in making the award of the D.S.C. to Captain Hill, instead of to of
Captain Hodges, WERE put right in the London Gazette of the n
27th August 1940, No.34932.
Should Mr. Le Enguat's statement be confirmed by you a further correction substituting his name for that of 30% Pembry as receiving a Mention in Despatates could be made in a future
Gasette.

With reference to your letter of the 7th instant, had enquiries made and find it is correct that Mr.
0 the 31st May, 1940, day following the vessel's e have Huguet was Chief Officer i.e. of the the "Isle of Guernsey" up ast trip in the evacuation from Dunkerque, since when he has been absent from duty owing to sickness.
The name of Mr. Pembry (who was temporarily in our employment and has now left) was apparently submitted by the
Ministry of Shipping without consultation with this Company.
However, as both Messrs. Le Huguet and Pembry rendered good services on the "Isle of Guernsey" during the evacuation, the position might be met by allowing the award of a Mention in Despatches to Mr. Pembry announced in the London
Gazette on the 16th August, 1940, to stand, and granting a similar honour to Mr. Le Huguet.

Commissioners of the Admiralty to inform you that the King has approved the award of a "Mention in Despatches" to Mr. Le Huquet, additional to that approved for
Mr. Pembry. This award was published in the supplement to the London Gazette latest 29th
April, 1941.
