A note about image and OCR quality

Every reasonable effort has been made to present these document images as flat, straight and accurately cropped as possible. The D.C. cable had been pierced in four places and the magnetic compass vis therefore practically useless. The ship's was therefore teered by the sun(fortunpately visible) will traffic on route "X" was Liscerned. Thereafter it was possible to 80 from buoy to bucy. Sandhurst's lar vis severely riddled with shell splinters but the damage to the ship (except for the cyΓo compass and oil fuel tank) was only superficial and not a pan was touched. A 16 it motor skiff was borrowed in lieu of the damaged whaler, and Sabre's own motor boat was recovered having been repaired.
