EASTBOURNE QUEEN by using & rowing boat found on the beach. Troops boarded EASTBOURNE QUICKN
by wading out up to their shoulders.
EASTBOURNE Quest took about 40 to the
WORCESTER which then (about 1600/1st) went alongside pier. WORCESTER was continually bombed, fragemts from near misses killed 3
and wounded several nearby. Left Dunicier in
WORCESTER about 1700/1800. Beach littered with equipment. Pier bombed, beach shelled, sheltered under dereliot boat.
