H.M.S. "Sharpshooter",
8th. June, 1940.
Sir,
I have the honour to submit the following report on the Evacuation of Allied Forces from DUNKIRK:-
"Sharpshooter" arrived at DOVER in company with
"Hebe" in accordance with previous instructions at 1730 on Tuesday,
28th. May, 1940.

At 1842 on that day orders were received from the Flag Officer Commanding DOVER to proceed to LA PANNE,
"Sharpshooter" slipped at 1903 and using Route "1" arrived off the beaches at 0115, Wednesday 29th. May. Boats were lowered and embarkation was proceeded with.

Dy 0300 only 30 officers and nen had been embarked. This was due to lack of boats and the surf encountered inshore at the time. Difficulty was also experienced in locating the troops when boats were first sent inshore.

By 0500 about 100 men had been embarked, and, weighed and proceeded for DOVER using Route "Y", securing alongside
Admiralty Pier at 1215.
After disembarkation TBC completed ship secured to 8. buoy at 5. 1315. Having drawn stores "Sharpshooter" slipped at
1830, and proceeded via Rouse "1", anchoring close inshore at 0035, difficulty and much assistance from two boats manned by Royal
