organisation of the minesweeping vessels which took part
in the operation. These ships not only evacuated
troops from Dunkirk but also maintained routine sweeps
under most difficult circumstances. By his cheerful
leadership and tireless efforts, this officer was able
to maintain his entire force at my disposal, and thereby
contributed largely to the success of the enterprise.
