Signalman Harry Guy. C/JX. 150713. Displayed untiring energy and devotion to duty M in holding the whaler's bows to a heavy surf for many hours on end and whilst being continuously drenched with water up to the shoulders. Recommended for mention. some 280 Allied troops under bombardment from the air and sporadic artillery fire. Stoker Beer was also a Lewis gunner of the ship and damaged one enemy aircraft. These ratings displayed the greatest keenness, cheerfulness and devotion to duty. Recommend Stoker Beer to be decoratesssratesrati and the remainder mentioned.
