A note about image and OCR quality

Lieutenant Norman Walter Albert Mann, R.N.V.R. Unit Officer. Showed great determination and devotion to duty in the handling of his unit whilst off the beaches. Recommended for mention. Skipper George Hattan, W.S. 3022. R.N.R.-REED. Showed great determination and devotion to duty in the handling of his Drifter whilst off the beaches, enabling a large number of troops to be evacuated. Recommended for decoration. RATINGS: Chief Engineman A.A.Storr, X.6082. E.S. - FEASIBLE. After his Drifter had broken down due to near miss from shell-fire, showed great devotion to duty and determination in trying to maintain steam in face of continuous bombing and shell-fire. Recommended for decoration. The following ratings all showed a splendid bombing and shell fire, and they are accordingly example under trying circumstances when under constant recommended for mention: Stoker KX. 100149 - "John and Norah".
