Recommendation. The following rating was specially selected as having been conspicuous in devotion to duty under fire:- Second Hand Charles Adams, L.H. JX.173276. Recommended for decoration. H.M. Danlayer SARGASSO - Lieutenant Charles C. L. Gaussen.R.N.V.R SARGASSO made 3 successful round trips to Dunkirk and the beaches, during the period of the worst enemy air activity, returning on each occasion with a full load of troops, and was of assistance to other ships working off the beaches. Recommendation. OFFICER. Lieutenant Charles C. L. Gaussen, R.N.V.R. Displayed marked devotion to duty and seamanlike qualities. Recommended for mention.
