A note about image and OCR quality

We remained at anchor until 0300. Wednesday 5th June when we weighed and proceeded for Partsmouth in company with four other hoppers. The remaining launch, Wave Queen had been leaking badly with engine out of action during the week and as we went further down the bhannel, became waterlogged and in a choppy sea towed very badly. GH Folkestone the strain on the bollards became too great and all six parted The hoppes astern endeavoused to take it in tow but found it impossible and eventually left it behind in a sinking condition. ao Partsmouth could not be reached before dark all dive happens put in to newhoven and anchored in & enford Roads.
