A note about image and OCR quality

Schoot Caribia. 1900 Left for La Panne and had uneventiul passage. 30th May. 0500 Arrived La Panne; beach was covered with troops but transport was slow SO proceeded along beach to Brayepicking up troops in small parties and finished filling up at La Panne. 1000 Proceeded towards Transgeer bucy and soon after leaving 8 battery at Nieuport opened fire, salvos wide until we left Nieuport Bank Bucy for Middlekerie Buoy, then accuracy increased so quickly that I assumed the enemy were using the course between buoys as & range so I turned at right angles to course and zig-sagged towards Cost Dycke Buoy. After 15/20 salvos, of which several were straddles, we were out of range and apart from fog had & quiet trip back to Ramsgate. 31st May. 0700 Arrived Ramsgate. 1600 Left Ramsgate to make West entrance to Dunkirk Roadsat dusk. In vicinity of W. buoy 15 hombers One bomber crashed, apparently shot down by damage, & destroyer nearby kept them flying high. a attacked, bombs fell close ahead but did not 2300 Arrived fighter. Dunkirk Harbour; went alongside but advised could not beach towards Braye, which advice we contact troops; & destroyer outside took. the in the channel made navigation difficult Wrecks bombers attacked continually if we did over and four knots, apparently spotting the phosphoresence. 1st June. 0200 Left about 0200 and back to Ramsgate via the Braye Roads; during bombing attacks on way Dunkirk naval craft in the Roads put up intense A.A. fire. 0800 Arrived Ramagate.
