Paulater who came alongside for a supply of petrol communition. Owing to the unseaworthy condition of ILL.C. 21, and on the advice of Loading Stoker Thomas, the driver, Sub. Lieut. Towers decided to make for Ranagate, the nearest port, where we arrived about 1600, and disembarked the troops. The craft was beached and the damage reported to the Engineer Captain's Office 5. On the 4th. June the craft was hauled up on the ordle for repairs. Phose ware effected by Friday 7th. June, when N.L.C. 21 sailed for Portsmouth arriving there at 1745 8th. June.
