A note about image and OCR quality

After about an hour her tow rope fouled our propeller, which we could not free. I knew would should be seen by a Patrol ship at some time or other so, we went on with our work, getting as many soldiers aboard, which at this time proved a mixed lot, British and French. Every available space aboard was taken up by a soldier, cabin, fish hold, wheelhouse, decks, even in the engine room. Sometime in the evening, I cannot give the correct time, a Patrol ship, did arrive, an d took us in tow. It has since occurred to me, that no one thought of the predicament we were in, and the only concern of everyone was to get the troops aboard.
