COMMITTEE TO DEAL WITH CLAIMS OF SMALL CRAFT EMPLOYED
IN THE DUNKIRK AND SUBSEQUENT EVACUATION
OPERATIONS.
Meeting held at 3.p.m. on MONDAY, 24th JUNE, 1940, at the
Ministry of Shipping, Room 8014.
PRESENT:- MR. ROBSON (CHAIRMAN) MR.SIMMONS (TREASURY)
MR. MOORE, MR. RIDDELL and MR. WAND.
AGREED to extend the work of the Committee to cover all evacuation operations where conditions of short term service apply.
AGREED to arrange in suitable cases for local payment by the Ministry of Agriculture and Fisheries through Port
Fishery Officers, or by Ministry of Shipping Representatives, of all sundry items of purchases.
AGREED to payment being made after necessary certification of clearly defined and straightforward cases without direct reference to the Committee; such payments to be scheduled and reported to the Committee at the meeting following payment.
AGREED that the Consultative Officer attending Survey shall, in suitable cases, endeavour to find a basis of settlement for cost of repairs which shall be submitted for the approval of the Committee.
AGREED that the Committee shall meet at 10.30.a.m. on each
WEDNESDAY, commencing JULY 3rd, 1940.
