Mr. Moore and I saw Mr. Divine today and discussed his
request. As a result Mr. Divine was asked to let us have a
questionnaire covering the small craft, tugs, and other craft
dealt with by Mr. Bellamy when we further in the matter.

of an interview, we have received the three questionnaires
one relating to yachts, motor boats, etc. - file attached, one
relating to tugs (Mr. Watkins), and one for craft dealt with by
Mr. Bellamy. Mr. Divine was referred to me by Captain
Williamson the Department's Principal Officer at Seething Lane,

London, and from his letter of the 5th January he is apparently

well-known to you and the Admiralty. Mr. Divine has

apparently. made the necessary contacts and obtained information
from other Admiralty Departments concerned and I should be glad
if you would advise me whether there is any objection to Mr.
Divine being given the information he desires for the purpose of
preparing a book on the Dunkirk evacuation.
