D.S.V.P. supplied/a list of suitable vessels it was but 1/soon ascertained that a great number of these were Consequantly not fit and ready for service, so I attended a meeting at the Admiralty, when it was agreed that Admiral Preston should send some of his Officers to the various boatyards covering the area from Teddington to Burnham and Brightlingsea to inspect and send all vessels fit to Sheerness immediately and arrange regarding runner crews, oil fuel etc. The an Officers were each given/authority, signed by Admiral emeume with their, Preston, to order the vessels away During the course of the Monday this Section arranged for and got 40 vessels to Sheerness by Monday evening. aller aque to this preable to as 19/9. he or these vessels, which may be in their possession.
