A note about image and OCR quality

The Department is prepared to consider claims in respect of this expenditure, which dise should, where possible, be supported by vouchers. In addition claims will also be entertained in respect of any stores, gear or equipment which were on board when the vessel(s) were taken over and are now found to be missing. A number of vessels were returned to Owners almost immediately o-ther as being unsuitable for the requirement. h Uessels which were used have, or are being, returned to their Owners and it is known that in many cases more or less severe damage has been sustained. In all cases Owners may if they so desire, make a claim for the use of their vessel (s) for the period during which they were engaged on this service. Should damage have been sustained the Department would be prepared to consider claims in respect of the repair thereof.
