REPORTS OF PROCEEDINGS OF SOUTHERN
RAILWAY VESSELS IN "DYNAMO".
In reply to your letter of 15th August, 1940, all reports received by me in connection with Operation
"Dynamo" have been sent to the Admiralty for record.
2. reports were forwarded from "Canterbury", "Maid of Orleans",
Of the ships named by you, it is known that
"Biarritz", "Autocarrier", "Isle of Guernsey", "Worthing"
and "Whitstable".
There was also a report from Commodore E. G. Jukes
3. Hughes, C.B.E., who acted as Principal Sea Transport
Officer, Dover, during the Operation.
It is possible

that he will have copies of all reports made by the
Personnel vessels, whether forwarded to me or not.
VICE ADMIRAL.

locks went to look for lock gatemen managed to get them to p.m.
for us to enter Dock planes still bombing and kept open bombing all night. Midnight made fast in berth.
The Naval Officer who spoke to us at 8 p.m.
promised to berth us but we did not see him until 5 a.m.
on the 23rd, we were on the wrong berth. 5.15 a.m. shifted.
