A note about image and OCR quality

Having regard to the purpose we are naturally gratified to be able to have recorded the fact that two of this Company's vessels were included in this wonderful display of seamanship. However, our attention has been drawn to the fact that there is some reference in the King's Regulations that private records are not to be kept or given during the period of hostilities. Being apprehensive on this matter we should be glad of your guidance that in fulfilling your request we are not transgressing any such regulation - if such regulation is still in existence. On hearing from you that we are free to allow such records to be taken and produced, we shall arrange forthwith with the masters of the two vessels concerned. Naturally we have every desire that the exploits of our two vessels should be included The with those of others.
