rotes
With reference to the report dated 6th
June from Lieutenant A.Gray, H.M.S. "Hilda",
Lieutenant Syddons-Willing and his boat's crew
3
were picked up at about 0430/3rd June by Rear-
Admiral Taylor who reports to me as follows:-
"He, Lieutenant Syddons-Willing, had been
of
along the beach at St.Malo les Bains and
had ascertained that there were no longer
&
any troops at that point. He also went
to the assistance of the m.y. "Singapore",
which had gone aground, but subsequently
got off.'
Rear-Admiral Taylor fully supports the
Commanding Officer's recommendation of Lieutenant
Syddons-Willing.
