A note about image and OCR quality

Every reasonable effort has been made to present these document images as flat, straight and accurately cropped as possible. D.755, all, regardless of rest or food laboured unceasingly to maintain the efficiency of their engines. As regards the remainder of my crew, though mainly inexperienced (I understand my two Ordinary Seamen had never previously been to sea) showed a most admirable spirit on the night of 31st May, and I had no doubt that this would be maintained throughout the operation I was unfortunately unable to carry through.
