The following report of proceedings is forwarded in accordance dnesday 29th May Received orders to land Experimental gear and remove Experimental Dome, and be ready to sail for
Dover by 0600 Thursday 30th.
This operation took less time than was anticipated due to the good work of the Scientific Staff and my Midnight. Ship's Company. Reported ready to proceed at hursday 30th May
0001 Proceeded.
0900 Arrived at Dover and secured to No. 19 Buoy.
1317 Slipped and proceeded to Dunkirk by Route"X" with large Motor Boat "Sambra" in tow. Speed 12 Knots.
Magnetic Mine exploded by Sweeper 1 mile ahead of
Kingfisher in swept channel 3 miles E. of Dover.
1930 Arrived at Malo Beach, Dunkirk and embarked troops using Motor Boat and Whaler and "Sambra".
2300 Proceeded with 180 British troops on board.
iday 31st May
0510 Alongside Ramsgate Pier. Troops disembarked.
Had to wait for the tide before going alongside.
0533 Proceeded back to Dunkirk.

Arrived Malo Beach and embarked troops with Motor

boat and Whaler. No other boats were available.

Had 80 troops on board One seriously wounded, and
20 French.
It was nearing low water and a small ship which had been beached and which the boats had been using as a jetty was of no further use.
