In addition the Engine Room Department deserve special mention.
No Ventilation Fan is fitted in the Engine Room and under Action
conditions it is almost impossible to remain on the platform for more
than half an hour, the temperature being 125°F., yet no complaint was
made until the completion of the operations and then only with a view
to improving conditions for the next time.
