Sir, recommendations the operation "Dynamo". for gallantry and good services rendered report during and
I have the honour to submit the following out their duties to my entire satisfaction.
I would submit that as regards shore staff all carried
Lieutenant Robert Bill R.N., Senior Executive Officer on my staff was sent in charge of six trawlers to Dunkirk.
Lieutenant Bill's report has already been forwarded. I would submit that this Officer performed the task allotted to him in an exemplary manner. He showed great coolness and devotion to duty under constant bombing - two of the ships under his orders were lost. He managed to extricate the remainder from on extremely perilous position. This Officer's name was sent in as one of four token names for "Dynamo" operation.
During the operation "Dynamo" the Downs and Entrances to Dover Harbour were constantly subjected to magnetic minelaying.
The Downs and Entrances were kept free for the conveyance of troops by means of "LL" Trawlers and Skid Towing Drifters, and observing this is routine work, I propose to record the services of these vessels in the half yearly report.
The following list of the Officers and men is appended, who performed outstanding services.
