On Tuesday the 4th June ordered to return to sheerness, out a few minutes before the Petty Officer on the' Mermaiden" advised me he was nel having an officer to navigate the vessel back to weymouth myseli to Commander ----- R.N. for this Job and was told we left at 8pm that night and arrived and perthed at weym the next day wednesday 5th June 1940.
