A note about image and OCR quality

Able Seaman Benyon, D/JX.142424. This rating was employed in the whalers and lifeboats taking troops off the beaches under continual fire. As a volunteer to work in whalers under shell fire and by his eonsistent work and gallantry, a large number of troops were embarked. Recommended for decoration.
