Recommendations. OFFICERS: Acting Commander S. P. Herival, R.N.V.R. Showed great initiative and seamanship whilst embarking troops from the beaches at La Panne under very heavy shell fire, and also proceeding into Dunkirk without damage to his ship. Worked continuously from Thursday, 30th May until Tuesday morning, 4th June. Recommended for mention. RATINGS: Chief Petty Officer Goldsmith, Pensioner No. 13112 (Late C/J. 27799. ) Showed exceptional keenness and fortitude whilst under fire from the shore. Recommended for mention. Signalman J. A. G. Williamson, R.N.V.R., LD/X.4036. Showed great fortitude and coolness whilst under exceptionally trying conditions under fire. Recommended for mention. Fireman William Mitchell, T.124.
