A note about image and OCR quality

Every reasonable effort has been made to present these document images as flat, straight and accurately cropped as possible. She was fired at by shore batteries and subjected to bombing from the air. Patrolled off the beaches, assisting with rescuing people in the water and also going into Dunkirk and assisting generally. Recommendations. OFFICER. Lieutenant John Cameron, R.N.V.R. Who commanded this boat, acted with great skill and judgment in avoiding all air attacks, and also attacks by the shore artillery, and did invaluable work in rescuing people off the beaches from ships that had been sunk. Recommended for mention. RATINGS. Chief Petty Officer M. J. Driver, 6134D. At all times cool and unperturbed during a difficult period and as coxswain displayed an excellent example to the remaining members of the crew. Recommended for mention. Leading Stoker C. W. T. Murrin, P/KX. 82587. Under great difficulties, due to recent commissioning of boat and conditions off the beaches and in Dunkirk, kept his engines in an efficient state enabling the boat to be manoeuvred as efficiently as possible.
