Promoted to Chief Officer after the third trip.

This rating remained in the ship throughout all the voyages and was of the greatest assistance to
Mr. Watterson. Displayed great initiative in the mooring of the ship in Dunkirk at all times, especially as there was no shore assistance available when in the port.
