A note about image and OCR quality

Every reasonable effort has been made to present these document images as flat, straight and accurately cropped as possible. The ship remained afloat for some time, being taken in tow by H.M.S. "PANGBOURNE", but she had to be abandoned in B sinking position when noar T buoy. RECOMMENDATIONS. OFFICERS: H Temporary Lieutenant Harold Jones, R.N.V.R. Displayed coolness and oourage during the air attack and subsequently, showing a good example and leadership. Recommended for Montion. RATINOS: Potty Officer Neil McLoon Speed, R.N.R., O.N. X. 9712 B. (Awarded D.S.M. in London Gazotte of 11th July, 1940.) He performed excellent and untiring work in transporting troops between beach and ship and subsequently showed splendia powers 05 Leadership after the ship had been bombed. Recommended for Mention.
