A note about image and OCR quality

This ship proceeded to La Panne beach on 29th May, but when off Dunkirk was attacked by aircraft and as a result of damage received she returned to Dover, and was unable to take a further part in the evacuation. Recommendations. OFFICERS: Lieutenant John Henry Edwards, R.N. (Retired). During one attack by aircraft a fire was reported aft and Lieutenant Edwards was sent to deal with it. He found the ready use cordite in the after gun position burning and with the aid of two able seamen threw the burning charges overboard, as also the charges in another box which was burning.
