The Report has been made dp in the form of a Daily Log with the more important signals included. In addition I attach certain Appendices:- (1) Activity of onemy sircraft. (11) Officers who performed valuable services. (111) Ratings who performed valuable services. (iv) Ratings in the original party. By good fortune the mission entruated to ne a the first place by the Admiralty and ultimately by ou was completed by 2300 on 2nd June, and I would like 0 record herewith that the chief factors responsible or this successful conclusion were 1- (a) The ready help we always received from Dover whenever asked for. (b) The fearlessness and splendid seamanship of destroyers and mineaweepers and nearly all the personnel ships coming to the pier. (o) The help of Rear-Admiral Wake-Walker in distributing ships between the pfer and the beaches. (d) The magnificent work of the Officers and men, and particularly of the pier party who worked with little rest for 7 days. or these, none is more deserving of praise than Commander Clouston.
