A note about image and OCR quality

Every reasonable effort has been made to present these document images as flat, straight and accurately cropped as possible. This paper has been marked to D.M.S. for D.O.D. (H) 24.6.40. It is presumed that Vice Admiral Dover will be forwarding his remarks on the original copy of this report. In addition to acting as Senior Officer of the flotilla until NIGER joined, it is clear that Commander Temple conducted himself throughout this operation in full accord with the traditions of the service. Reference paragraph 2 of D.O.D. (H) it is proposed that copies of this report should be sent to Flag Officer, Humber and Commander in Chief, The Nore. Mom. M/S 4. D. M. S. June, 1940. The chief points in this interesting report are already dealt with in V.A. DOVER's comprehensive report on Operation Dynamo, copies of which have been widely circulated. Direct quotations from this report show that it has passed through V.A. DOVER's hands. A large number of individual ships unjustifiable in the present circumstances to forward copies of reports on this operation are being received and it appears these to all concerned.
