Went alongaide and took off 8 small number of British troops. Theremainder were all French and were taken off by 3 French Guaboat. More British destroyers were found off "La Panne* and Shbre's whalar was utilised for bringing OFF troops from there. * 16 0515/29 "SABRE" was ordered to proceed alongside Bast Pier LORVINE shater nt 1st Lieutanant behini. Shoved off at 0550 having embarked about 500 troops and returned V.L.N route "Y". A number of (Live borbing raids occurred during the morning, but "SABRE" ms not hit. urrived at Dover at
1030.
ALL the immition (HeAr) baine expended, procelled atongside Eastern Arn where assumition an: all fuel were taken 111. 100 depth charges vers lanted. At 1600, having ambarked the noval officers for Dunkirk, processed V.I. route "X". On arrival it was found that the plan had Dear aloural ONLINE to air raids, but the vahip WAS placed alongaids without vires and the naval party disembarked. A Lew troops vere seen tom the plar and were emb rked. The 2122 VSS bomb by (LLVD bonbers but "SABRE" was apparantly not noticol. prodicious quantities of ammunition were however expended and one bomber NSS soon to crash, another appeared to be imaged. Both were Junkers67's. After/
