DURING DUNKIRK EVACUATION OPERATIONS
First arrival off Beach East of Dunkirk was about 0130
on May 21st.
Heavily shelled from shore from 0330 to 0415. No damage.
Failed to contact troops: apparently too far to Westward.
Second attempt was made between 2200. and 2300 May 30th.

9, Clarence Lawn.
Dover.
June 9th 1940.
V.A. Dover.
Sir,
I have the honour to attach report of proceedings of H.M.S. Delta during recent evacuation operations.
I repret delay, but since my return here on leave I have been on the sick list, under the care of the Port M.O.
