A note about image and OCR quality

After and during the following hour several ships, including H.M.S. "VIVACIOUS" and H.M. Drifter "LORD GREY", picked up survivors, but I regret to report that two Engineer Officers, T.124, and seven other ratings were lost. A complete readiness to carry out all orders was shown throughout by all officers and ratings. Steam was maintained in the engine room, and everything done to find some means to repair the steering gear. Fire from the 12 Pdr. H.A. gun and Lewis guns was I kept up throughout all attacks, and from my own observation, one aircraft was damaged - a piece seeming 11- to fall off.
