A note about image and OCR quality

Berthon, D.S.C.,R.N,, Captain (D) 19th D.F. and Commanding H.M.S. "Keith" at the time of her loss, which brings to notice for the first time several acts of gallantry and courageous conduct by personnel of the ship. Captain Berthon himself was wounded and has been for some time in the R.N. Hospital, Chatham, but in spite of this he has clearly spared no pains to collect evidence and render his recommendations as soon as possible. 2. In the original despatch H.M.S. "Keith" is dealt with on page 21 of List A. It is now submitted for the consideration of Their Lordships that the accompanying pages 21, 21A and 21B may be substituted for that previously forwarded. 3. The figures given in paragraph 5 of the original despatch will require amendment as follows:- List "A" contains the names of - 227 Officers 457 Men of these, recommendations are made for:- 327 for decoration, 347 for mention, 10 for advancement.
